1. Blog

Short for "weblog", a blog is a particular type of website that usually includes frequently updated content, often times displayed in reverse chronological order (newest items first). Blogs also typically allow website visitors to leave comments on the site or notify the site when a blog post is referenced on another blog (see trackback). Blogs also usually have built-in RSS feeds, allowing others display the content from the blog. A blog can be the primary site (such as this one) or a part of a larger site, often times placed in a directory called ./blog.
